Ten sessions to satisfy your HCC graduation requirement, with a coach who made the exit you’re planning.
Elissa Kelly completed the Hudson Institute of Coaching certification program in Santa Barbara and holds the ICF PCC credential, which qualifies her to serve as a mentor coach for Hudson Coach Certification students. The engagement is ten 60-minute sessions, so it clears the 10 to 15 hours of coaching HCC asks you to receive.
One thing before you keep reading, because it saves us both a call.
This is coaching for students using their Hudson hours to plan a departure from corporate. If you’re staying in your role and adding coaching to it, another Hudson coach is the better fit, and I’ll point you to one.
Schedule a Chemistry CallTen 60-minute sessions, scheduled weekly or biweekly across three to five months. Email access between sessions for the questions that can’t wait. The full engagement is $2,750.
Membership in the Solopreneur Insider Circle™ is included for your first 90 days, then continues at $99 a month if you want to keep it. The Insider Circle carries the full Corporate to Coach® digital content and a community of executive women building coaching businesses. It isn’t a cohort, so there’s no live facilitation and no cohort peer group.
Two different requirements.
Hudson asks you to receive coaching, where you’re the client and the work is yours. ICF mentor coaching is a separate requirement in which a mentor listens to recordings of your coaching and gives feedback against the ICF core competencies.
This engagement satisfies the Hudson requirement. It doesn’t count toward ICF mentor coaching hours.

Any Hudson-certified coach can give you ten hours. The question is what those ten hours are pointed at.
Elissa spent two decades in Fortune 100 risk management and left as chief product officer of a $4 billion insurance company. She built her own practice to six figures in year one and doubled revenue in years two and three.
She has made the exit. She has built the business. She has set the prices, filled the pipeline, and answered the dinner-party question badly a few times before she answered it well.
Coaching well and running a coaching business are two different skill sets. Most coaches have one of them.
I came to Elissa stuck and overwhelmed. What I got was a clear plan, a stronger sense of my own positioning, and a coach who held me to the standard I was setting for myself. Her questions are sharp. Her support is steady. The work we did together still shapes how I run my business.
Jeri H., Hudson Coach Certification graduateElissa brings real business operating experience to coaching, which is rare. She has helped me think about my practice the way I would think about running a P&L. The strategic clarity has translated into real revenue. I trust her judgment because she has done the work herself.
Mike W., Hudson Coach Certification graduateWorking with Elissa gave me the structure and accountability I needed to move my business forward. She helped me get clear on my offer and stop second-guessing every decision. The pricing work alone changed how I show up in sales conversations. I leave every session with specific next steps and the confidence to take them.
Lauren G., Hudson Coach Certification graduateI have had the privilege of working with Elissa, and I recommend her without hesitation. She combines a rare mix of executive rigor and PCC-level coaching expertise, along with a very human, grounded presence. She listens intently, asks insightful questions, and then provides practical, actionable guidance. Anyone lucky enough to work with Elissa will get a partner who is fully in their corner and wholeheartedly dedicated to their success.
Howard S., Hudson Coach Certification graduateA Hudson mentor coach is a coach who has completed the Hudson Institute of Coaching certification program and can provide the coaching hours HCC students are required to receive. Elissa Kelly completed the Hudson certification in Santa Barbara and holds the ICF PCC credential.
The Hudson Coach Certification program asks students to receive 10 to 15 hours of coaching, and it isn’t included in tuition. This engagement is ten 60-minute sessions, which meets the requirement. Students who want more than ten can add sessions.
No. This is coaching received, where you’re the client, and it satisfies the Hudson requirement rather than the ICF one. ICF mentor coaching is a separate requirement in which a mentor reviews recordings of your coaching and gives feedback against the ICF core competencies.
This engagement is $2,750 for ten 60-minute sessions, which works out to $275 a session. That includes email access between sessions and 90 days of Solopreneur Insider Circle™ membership, which carries the full Corporate to Coach® digital content. Rates vary widely across individual Hudson coaches, so ask what’s included before you compare two numbers.
Three to five months, with ten 60-minute sessions scheduled weekly or biweekly. Most students run biweekly, which puts the tenth session near the five-month mark. The pace gets set on the first call around your HCC timeline.
Yes, and starting early is common. Students who begin before their HCC cohort starts tend to arrive with a clearer picture of what they want the certification to do for them. Confirm with your Hudson program contact whether hours received before your official start date count toward the requirement.
You set the agenda each session and the plan is yours when you leave. Many clients work on thier exit from corporate and the practice they are building on the other side of it. Sessions may cover a departure timeline, financial scenario planning, positioning and pricing, identity outside the title, and the first version of a pipeline.
Then another Hudson coach is the better fit, and I’ll refer you to one. This engagement is built for students using their Hudson hours to plan or execute a departure to build a sustainable coaching business. Coaching that runs alongside a corporate role you intend to keep is a different piece of work and it deserves a coach who does it well.
